Sounds of South Africa takes place in the beautiful Battersea Park - one of London’s most beautiful and iconic parks!
Battersea Park is a large park so please plan your journey in advance to ensure you reach us by the quickest route. The closest main pedestrian entrance to the event entrance is Albert Gate.

Please see our event map above, showing all available entrances and exits of the park and nearby public transport services. Please also look out for maps that will be placed on all the main park gates on the day to help you navigate the event entrance.

  • We will have allocated bicycle parking close the event entrance. If you would like to use this facility, please note that you will need your own bike lock and all bikes are left at owners risk.

  • There will be no parking available in the park, except some very limited blue badge parking. Please see the accessible section for information on blue badge parking.

  • General Admission Tickets

    For customers aged 14+. General Admission tickets give access to the event and our spacious picnic areas, street food and bars, Kids Tipiland and more. Chairs are not provided in the General Admission areas. Customers are welcome to bring chairs which will be permitted a little further back from the stage to protect the views of those that arrive the earliest.

    Child Tickets aged 5-13

    There is a reduced rate child ticket for those aged 13 and under.

    Free Child Tickets

    Children aged 4 and under go free, but will need a ticket for entry. Please add at the point of purchase.

    All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

    Gold Circle

    Arrive at your leisure safe in the knowledge that you have a great spot right in front of the stage with the best views in the house. Pre-book your seats in the Gold Circle, closest to the stage with chairs provided.  

    Gold Circle tickets are in limited supply, so don’t leave it too late to secure yours!

    Diamond VIP Experience (SOLD OUT)

    Indulge in our Diamond VIP Experience for the ultimate summer soiree. Tickets include access to the Gold Circle with the best seats in the house plus lots more. 

    Relax before and during the show in our VIP Garden, set within beautiful giant tipi tents with luxury toilets, its own bar and alfresco seating areas, all set close to the Gold Circle. Plus, enjoy a complimentary glass of Domaine Des Jeanne fine wine on arrival to set the mood for the perfect summer’s afternoon ahead. 

    Diamond VIP Experience tickets are in limited supply and sold out last year, so don’t leave it too late to secure yours!

    Essential Companion Tickets

    We provide free Essential Companion tickets for eligible customers. Please see the Accessibility section for more information.

  • We offer a range of accessible facilities, including a raised Wheelchair Viewing Platform (with ramp access), limited Blue Badge parking (advance booking required), and complimentary Essential Companion tickets for eligible customers. 

    The event takes place on grass in a flat, open park setting, with step-free access routes from the main entrance (approx. 275m from Albert Gate). Accessible toilets are available across the site, including at the viewing platform and VIP areas. 

    Wheelchair platform tickets include space for one essential companion. Due to limited capacity, the platform is prioritised for wheelchair users, though other access needs may be considered on request.

  • Enable are committed to reducing the Carbon-footprint and environmental impact of our events. Wandsworth Borough Council have pledged to be carbon-neutral by 2030, and to help them achieve this we are implementing a number of measures to ensure we are as sustainable as possible during the event. Measures include:

    • Utilising the special events mains power installed in the park to ensure that as much of the event as possible can be powered from the grid  

    • Partnering with a waste contractor to sort all waste, recycle and avoid landfill 

    • Providing fresh water points to encourage use of refillable bottles 

    • Using recyclable materials and reusable signage 

    • Encouraging guests to travel by foot, bike, or public transport, with a dedicated bike park close to the event entrance 

    • Surveying attendees post-event to understand and improve travel patterns.

Event Information

  • Yes, pack those picnic blankets and join us with your own food and drink.

  • Yes, there will be plenty of delicious street food and drinks to purchase at the event - if you’d like to lighten the load you can purchase them when you are here.

  • No, but food and drink brought on-site must be for personal consumption by you and your group. We reserve the right to refuse entry where we suspect an intention to illicit trade on-site.

  • Yes, Sounds of South Africa has a number of facilities. Please see the Accessibility section to find out more.

  • Chairs are provided in the Gold Circle. Children must have their own seat booked with the exception of babes in arms.

  • Yes, all children need tickets. Children aged 4 and under go free, but please make sure to reserve their free tickets in advance.

  • Dogs and other animals are not permitted, with the exception of registered Assistance Dogs on presentation of an Assistance Dogs (UK) branded ID book only, no other forms of accreditation will be accepted. An example ID book can be viewed here.

  • Glass is permitted at the event and we kindly ask that guests use glass responsibly with respect for the park, and take glass home to recycle.

  • Guests are welcome to bring pop-up chairs; however, gazebos, tents, and parasols are prohibited at the event.

    • All sharp knives and / or pointed knives – only rounded table knives will be permitted on-site 

    • Parasols 

    • Tents, gazebos or other temporary structures 

    • BBQs 

    • Bicycles 

    • Animals, with the exception of guide dogs. 

    • Controlled drugs or legal highs
